Penetration Testing for Medical Practices
Under the proposed 2026 HIPAA Security Rule updates, annual penetration testing becomes explicitly required for Covered Entities. Atascocita IT delivers ethical hacking engagements sized for independent clinics and small hospital systems — not enterprise pricing.

Frequently asked questions
Is penetration testing required by HIPAA?
Under the current Security Rule it is 'addressable' but strongly expected. Under the 2026 NPRM it becomes mandatory annually. Cyber insurance underwriters already require it for policy renewals.
Will testing affect our EHR or patient care?
No. Tests are scoped to avoid production disruption and coordinated with your practice manager. Any high-impact test (denial of service, exploitation of critical systems) requires written go-ahead.
